Senior Only One Year Programs

Senior Only Programs provide the opportunity for all seniors who reside within Tolles' Career Technical Planning District (CTPD) to obtain industry credentials while they are still in high school to jump-start their future and increase their earning potential.

Programming Overview

Courses are one year long, 3 periods in the morning or afternoon, five days per week Traditional school fees for supplies and uniforms apply Students must take their academic courses at their current high school Students must provide their own meals; food service is not provided Continuing education opportunities are available through Tolles' Adult Education programming after graduation Student’s home school counselor must sign off on the student’s graduation plan

CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

Nursing careers are in demand and the healthcare industry has endless opportunities for growth and service. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) play a crucial role in providing compassionate and essential care to patients in various healthcare settings. At Tolles, you’ll explore all the medical field has to offer with hands-on, real-world learning opportunities.

This one-year, senior-only credentialed program designed to put students on the right path toward obtaining a CNA certificate. CNA's are in need across the country making this a great time to get started on your career journey!

DIGITAL MEDIA

The Digital Media program is for high school seniors who:

  • Have an interest in storytelling and bringing that to life with video and music

  • Like working in groups and want to meet other aspiring artists and producers

You will learn:

Music: Students learn music and audio theory. Songwriting, beat making. Audio recording and mixing with Adobe Pro Tools software.

Video: Students learn HD camera, lighting, and audio operation. Screenwriting and storyboarding. Digital graphic design. Video editing with Adobe Premiere software.

Digital Media Student

ELECTRICAL

The Senior-Only Electrical Program is an intensive, one-year training program designed for students interested in joining one of Ohio’s most in-demand industries. This program provides hands-on experience and the foundational knowledge needed to pursue a career as an electrician.

Students will learn the fundamentals of electricity, including electrical theory, basic circuitry, wiring methods, and safety protocols. Through real-world applications and lab-based training, they will develop the skills necessary to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Students will have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials, giving them a competitive edge as they enter the workforce or continue their education in electrical trades.

Electrician

EMT

The EMT program is designed to help high school seniors earn their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification while also providing career exploration in other areas of Public Safety such as Firefighting, Paramedic, or Dispatch.

During this half-day, one-year program, students will build a foundation in emergency response and receive guidance and support toward continuing education or a career. An EMT is one of the first responders on the scene who provides the first line of pre-hospital care.

The Employment Ready Program gives high school seniors a new way to earn industry and graduation credentials while gaining employment-ready knowledge and skills. Tolles is offering this as a one-year senior-only program.

the Senior-Only Mechatronics Program is an advanced, one-year training opportunity designed for students interested in the intersection of robotics, automation, and manufacturing. This program provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, preparing students to design and create solutions to complex problems in the modern workforce.

Students will learn how to program and operate robotics, apply electrical devices to control machines, and manufacture precision parts. Through real-world applications in a high-tech lab, they will gain the skills necessary to integrate mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems to improve automation and efficiency in various industries.

NAIL TECHNICIAN

Tolles Nail Technician Program provides students with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in the nail care industry. This program provides hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art cosmetology lab, where students will learn essential nail care techniques including: manicures, pedicures, nail art, gel, acrylic , and dip powder applications, and salon sanitation practices.

Under the guidance of industry professionals, students will gain real-world experience by working with clients, mastering the latest trends, and developing the technical and customer service skills needed for success in the field.
